I hope you all survived the last two weeks of Spring Break!  I noticed some remarkable up-sides to these past two weeks without school; less traffic, no line ups at the doctor’s office and virtually no wait at Children’s Hospital emergency ward!

Don’t worry, we are healthy and well but I had it on good authority that the last point was surprisingly true.

The sunshine is a welcome addition to the longer days of Spring and I am happy to report that the garden is waking up and the nest of hummingbirds in our backyard are growing bigger every day.

I am sure you have all noticed how crazy the Spring Market has been.  Perhaps your neighbours have shared a story or you have been reading in the paper about the house that sold for $1M over-asking.  What, you may ask yourself, is going on?  Well, as inventory remains low and interest rates remain low and what feels like panic is starting to rise for those who have yet to enter the market, the activity and interest for any property in Vancouver accelerates and we are seeing quite a jump in price for all forms of housing here and around the lower mainland.  Read further to discover that sales in March reached over 5000 units!  Highest sales ever recorded.

My advice to you is, if you aren’t down-sizing or moving away, stay put and enjoy your home, neighbourhood and peace of mind that you bought your home when you did!  Remember when we were kids and the highest achievable goal we could come up with was to become a millionaire…well, there’s that.

But for those of you who have to sell or know anyone who could use a trusted professional, please don’t hesitate to call or refer me.  I always have my client’s interest foremost in mind and will work diligently for you and yours in any market.

I got your back.
