So not excited to see the weather the last few days. I can’t believe that it is snowing again! It may look beautiful and peaceful but it really causes too many problems in this City. Accidents, traffic jams, missed connections, appointments, cancelled activities, finger-pointing and theft…of sand; the list goes on. And there I am, minding my own business walking along the sidewalk coming home from something or other, all of a sudden, I see a car heading in my direction. Sort of a slow motion, slide right towards me. I have no place to go as I am already on the sidewalk and the driver is trying to gain control of the car so turning the wheel in all directions giving me no idea where the car will end up which precludes me diving out of harms way.

So as my life is flashing before my eyes, as a million possible memories could swim into mind for a final farewell, as I am grappling this split second decision to avoid catastrophe, what`s the first thing that comes into my head? What among any multitude of thoughts comes to the forefront in that precious moment in time? … Darn, I forgot to put the laundry in the dryer… Seriously, that was my life-shattering denouement. Dirty clothes.

Which means that either we are so de-sensitized to bad driving in this City and I never really felt in any kind of danger or I have too many chores.

Well, obviously I survived, came home, put the stupid laundry in the dryer and sat down to tell you about it. You’re welcome.

So, to all of you trying to drive in these unpleasant conditions, don’t. Park the car, stay home and do your wash. Don’t let it become your last mortal thought on earth!
